Training
Hairdressing & Beauty
Hands-on training in cutting, braiding, treatments and salon hygiene, with the business sense to charge properly for it.
This is a practical trade and it is taught practically. Theory is studied at home; the skill is built in the training salon with a tutor beside you.
You will work on mannequin heads first and on real clients later, under supervision, until the work is good enough to charge for.
What you will be able to do
- Wash, treat and condition hair correctly for different hair types
- Braid, twist and style to a standard clients will pay for
- Cut and shape with confidence
- Keep a station clean and safe to professional standards
- Price your services and keep clients coming back
What you need to start
- Attendance at the branch for every practical session
- Your own comb, scissors and brush (a starter kit is provided if you cannot buy one)
